HDD Brick is highly effective on 5 meter range and useful even against riflemen. It's important that this kind of weapon doesn't need any kind of concealing rather than being put in pocket. Moreover, its possible to accuse offender for making you having to literally throw your precious data.

WARNING: Don't use HDD as a hunting weapon on heavy game.
It is to note, that it is nearly impossible to use such a weapon when drunk, so it doesn't need any prohibition.
